This must-have wine has a beautiful yellow, golden to green-gold color. The intense nose releases delicious aromas of stewed white fruits, roasted hazelnuts, lilac, mimosa, bergamot, honey, and white chocolate. On the palate, it’s concentrated, with a caressing quality typical of the great Charmes. The contribution of the oak in which it was aged lends a fine tannic structure to this wine, which already has fruit and superb delicacy. Supple, fleshy, and chewy, it is dense rather than mineral. The finish is long and very fruity.
Even if it already seems very accessible, this perfectly balanced nectar will surprise you after 15 years in a good cellar.
The richness of this great wine will sublimate a fine Bresse chicken with crayfish or a terrine of truffled foie gras.
