This Dean of the Burgundian Clos has existed as such since the year 640, when the Duke of Burgundy donated it to the Abbey of Bèze. Neighbouring the Chambertin and classified at least at the same level, this climate gives a magnificent wine, a true masterpiece of power and race. The colour of this Pinot is very deep. The nose, a true olfactory poetry, releases aromas of fresh fruit dominated by blackcurrant and raspberry mixed with notes of cocoa and liquorice. On the palate, a lot of structure and an opulent and seductive character.
The tight tannins of its youth will give way to an incredible finesse after ten years in the cellar.
A fillet of beef with truffle followed by L’Ami du Chambertin cheese will be appropriate partners for this masterful bottle.
