tasting

A “colourful” character, from a winegrowing family, Jean-Luc Maldant, after having made his winery located in Chorey-les-Beaune flourish, has launched a range of whiskies imported from Scotland that he ends up in oak barrels used to raise great Burgundy wines. Through these whiskies, he highlights a range of emblematic products of the region such as Charolais beef, snail or Bresse chicken that gives white Bresse.

Ageing time

This single malt scotch whisky highland, not peaty, with the color of a very pale yellow has a rich and concentrated nose, marked by aromas of juicy white fruit, candied lemon zest and some floral notes. The palate is powerful, spicy and slightly sweet. The finish is long and sweet with a lot of freshness brought by its finish in chardonnay barrel.

pairing

Its fruity scents and malted flavor will be exacerbated by the sweetness of a foie gras served on a slice of cereal bread, sprinkled with bitter cocoa and accompanied by a confit of figs.
