The last major Côte d’Or vineyard heading south, Santenay, next to Chassagne-Montrachet, produces some very fine wines. This parcel, overlooking the village center, is one of Santenay’s finest climats. This 2021 vintage is bright and clear. The nose develops a wide range of aromas of fresh fruit and white flowers, enhanced by a few honeyed notes and a very subtle woodiness. The palate is full-bodied, mineral and suave, with a lingering, iodized finish.
Although very seductive in its youth, it will delight your taste buds after a few years in the cellar.
This delicious wine will sublimate a mushroom croustade.
