This comically-named cuvée de Rully blanc is a great way to get to know the wines of the Côte Chalonnaise. Despite the vagaries of the 2021 vintage, Vincent Daux presents us with a wine of incredible finesse, featuring a white gold color with green highlights. The nose gives off sweet aromas of white-fleshed fruit, citrus and honeysuckle. The palate is well-balanced, with good acidity and roundness. Its minerality gives it freshness. The finish is long and marked by candied lemon zest.
Already pleasant to drink, its good tension will enable it to be kept for another 4 to 5 years.
An ideal companion for river fish, this delicious Chardonnay is also ideal for Comté cheese aged 18 or 24 months.
