This emblematic Côte Chalonnaise appellation, which produces mainly red wines, also produces some lovely whites very similar to those of certain Côte de Beaune appellations. This wine from Domaine Masse is a good illustration. Its pale gold color is luminous. The highly perfumed nose releases delicious aromas of juicy yellow and white fruit, citrus and white flowers, underlined by a light woodiness. The palate is full-bodied, fresh and unctuous, with moderate acidity. The finish is invigorating, with a hint of salinity.
Already very pleasant to drink, this wine can be cellared for a further 4-5 years.
A fine bottle to open with friends over a comforting dish like croziflette.
