This vineyard is part of the “Champs Perdrix” climat in the commune of Couchey. Château de Marsannay operates this vineyard belonging to the Dijon Hospital. Despite the ups and downs of the 2021 vintage, this talented estate has succeeded in producing a very pretty wine whose color, though shallow, is a luminous ruby. The nose evokes aromas of cherries, blackcurrants and red berries mixed with orange peel and floral notes of violets and rose petals. On the palate, the attack is lively but delicate, with good structure, fine tannins and a fruity, slightly peppery finish.
This delicate wine is already very enjoyable but can also be kept for another 4 or 5 years.
This wine will appeal to tasty dishes such as grilled rack of lamb but will also suit creamy cheeses such as Brillat-Savarin.
