The Château de Marsannay operates a plot of 0.99 acres in Bel-Air which represents 15% of the appellation.
It is located at the top of the hill, next to the Grand Cru Ruchottes-Chambertin on a clay-silty soil rich in pebbles and exposed east-south-east. The vines were planted in 1994.
Dense colour of a beautiful deep ruby red. On the nose, small red fruits with notes of liquorice and spices on a discreet oakiness.
The mouth is supple and fleshy. The tannic structure is fine, but present with a lot of freshness on the finish.
