The Fixin appellation, once one of the best Burgundy terroirs, has been experiencing a real renaissance in recent years. Some of its wines can compete with some famous neighboring crus.
This rather masculine wine is adorned with a dress of a pretty purple. The nose opens with a mature and sensual scent of black cherries, plum and blackcurrant with spices and subtle woody notes. Full-bodied wine with a lot of freshness and an acidity typical of the appellation. Perfectly balanced, it is provided with a beautiful salinity at the end of the mouth.
You can appreciate it right now on the freshness or let it age 8 more years in the cellar for perfect maturity.
This powerful wine will preferably accompany autumn or winter cuisine such as a deer thigh or a beef bourguignon.
