Located south of Puligny-Montrachet, the village of Chassagne is renowned for the quality of its white wines. This 2022 vintage, produced by the Bouton family, has a limpid golden color. The nose is distinguished by tangy notes of grapefruit and tangerine mingled with juicy peach and enhanced by a discreet touch of toasted almond and vanilla. The palate is full and greedy, with aromas of marzipan, acacia honey and very moderate acidity. The finish is rather long and slightly saline.
This rich, flavorful wine is already very pleasant to drink, but can be kept for another 5 or 6 years, giving it even more smoothness and beautiful candied fruit aromas.
With its complexity, this Chassagne-Montrachet can enhance many dishes, such as risotto with green asparagus or trout with almonds.
