The Brunet family whose origins date back to the seventeenth century counted in its lineage, five members who were mayors of Beaune, several of whom appeared on the honor roll of the city. This cuvée consists of Bressandes, Bas des Teurons and Cent-Vignes, three Premiers Crus ideally located. It is made from grapes mainly from old vines; the most recent dating from 1999. The result is a superb wine with a luminous color, a deep ruby whose nose releases gourmet aromas of raspberry, cherry, gooseberry and scents of peony, mocha with a slight woody touch that reinforces the olfactory complexity. Nice balance in the mouth with a lot of suppleness and silky tannins. Wine of great finesse with a still fruity finish.
If you are one of those who have neither the patience nor the possibility to keep, know that this pretty wine can already give you a lot of pleasure after a good hour of aeration, but if you resist the temptation a few more years, a magnificent complexity will reward your waiting.
A typical Premier Cru of Beaune that will sublimate a beautiful piece of red meat.
