Clos Vougeot Grand Cru 2019, Château de Marsannay

With its plot of 21.4 ares planted south of the magnificent castle that dominates this ancestral clos, the château de Marsannay produces a superb wine that confirms that if 2019 has given very small volumes, the quality has been grandiose. it delivers an irresistible wine combining an exceptional balance with an intoxicating bouquet. Its purple velvet dress gives way to a nose whose sweetness evokes the scent of freshly picked roses and violets. In addition, there is a gourmet concentrate of raspberry, currant, ripe cherry, enhanced by a hint of licorice and cloves. The palate is ample, fleshy, velvety with very silky tannins. The finish is long on notes of fruit intensified by a beautiful minerality.

Tasting :
This grand cru with a great aging potential is to be kept in the cellar for a good ten years before being appreciated at its true value. But, like all the great wines of Burgundy, it will give you a lot of pleasure right now after an aeration of an hour or two in a carafe.
