The wife of Nicolas Rolin, the founder of the Hospices de Beaune, Guigone de Salins, moved from Autun to Beaune after her husband’s death to take over the direction of the Hôtel-Dieu, to which she devoted a great deal of her dedication and fortune. This cuvée dedicated to him consists of three beautiful climates which are the Bressandes, the Seurey and the Champs-Pimont.
Nice bright red hue. Nose both powerful and subtle, with a mix of red fruits followed by toasty aromas. Good length and density, with racy tannins.
From 8 to 10 years more in bottle.
