Morvan’s Trout Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky aged 13 years, Mac Malden

Passionate and creative winemaker, Jean-Luc Maldant has developed a range of powerful and complex whiskies that he raises with as much love and rigor as his great Burgundy wines.
Morvan’s trout, a pure malt 13 years old aged in Corton – Renardes barrels is a perfect example. Its color is amber with beautiful pink reflections.

Tasting :
On the nose, the subtle notes of rose and peony mingle with the exoticism of black pepper and scent wood. The mouth, rich and syrupy but without any heaviness, is dominated by scents of coffee, nougat, honey and ginger. A tasty and well-balanced whisky with a long and powerful finish.

Pairings :
Perfect as an aperitif or at the end of the meal, you can also enjoy it with a few thin slices of Ossau-Iraty sprinkled with Espelette pepper served on a good country bread with a little black cherry jam.
