Pommard Premier Cru Louis Berrier 2018, vigne de l’Hospital de Dijon – Château de Marsannay

This cuvée is the result of the assemblage of two plots located on both sides of the village: The charmots on the hillside to the north and Les Frémiers to the south on deeper lands. Beautiful garnet dress sustained dense and deep.
Nose of stewed black fruit (burlat cherry, blackcurrant) with a touch of spices and a well integrated woody. The mouth is rich and long, carried by powerful tannins but softened by a harmonious fat and the intensity of the fruit.

Tasting :
Do not hesitate to decant it, because it is already impressive on the fruit after a good opening hour. It would be a shame not to keep a few bottles to enjoy all its complexity in a few years. Potential to keep of 15 years.

Pairings :
It is powerful enough to accompany a game such as roasted boar back or a boar stew. The deal will be just as perfect with a beautiful farmhouse beef rib and a savoury cheese platter.
