This climate, whose name comes from the land where the peasants of Premeaux worked for the Lord of the same place, is among the most delicate of the southern crus of the appellation. Produced from a soil formed by brown limestone and clay, this wine has a dark ruby color. The nose exudes a superbly intense and fragrant aromatic blend, in which red and black fruits as well as violets and roses jostle to take center stage; pepper and other spices play a secondary role. Supple, elegant and complex, this wine presents a perfect balance between pure fruit, tannins, acidity and alcohol with a long persistence.
This sumptuous wine will reach the wisdom of old age in a dozen years and will then let express all its finesse.
This exceptional Premier Cru will blossom fully in the company of a piece of beef or a roasted partridge without forgetting the cheeses of character that the region abounds.
