“Butteaux” is part of the southern part of the “Montmains” Premier Cru. Produced by Domaine Chalmeau, an old wine-growing family based in the heart of Chitry, this wine is typical of the appellation, with a brilliant pale gold colour with green highlights. The nose explodes with white fruit, passion fruit, citrus pulp, and a few chalky notes. The palate is precise and well-balanced, with a lovely freshness and minerality.
A very flattering wine to enjoy young, but which can be kept for another 4 or 5 years.
Although ideal as an aperitif, it is also a perfect partner for a seafood platter or chicken in coconut milk and curry.
