Pommard, Hospices de Beaune, Cuvée Suzanne Chaudron 2017

95,00

A perfect balance

Suzanne Chaudron and her husband Raymond Cyrot donated their vines to the Hospices de Beaune in 1976, or 1ha 27a spread over twelve climates of the Pommard vineyard. Since 1992, each husband has had his own cuvée. This Pommard Suzanne Chaudron is a blend of very old vines with limited yields, perfectly exposed and maintained. 40% of the vines are from before 1959, the oldest plot dating from 1922.

Beautiful deep garnet colour. Powerful bouquet of red and black fruits, enhanced by subtle notes of sweet spices. We find in the mouth the same harmonious aromatic expression with a perfect balance freshness, elegance and tension. A racy and charming Pommard, with a beautiful material and soft melted tannins.

Tasting :
Perfect to drink right now. You can keep it in your cellar 10 to 12 years more to gain complexity.

Pairings :
Deer terrine, Eggs en meurette, Andouillette, Duck confit
