Nuits St Georges Premier Cru Les Saint-Georges – Les Sires de Vergy Cuvée Georges Faiveley 2010, Hospices de Nuits

Located in the southern part of the appellation, between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Premeaux-Prissey, this climate “Les Saint-Georges” is considered one of the oldest, this locality being already planted in the year 1000. After 12 years in the cellar, this earthy but racy wine reveals a pale red color pulling towards orange. The nose of great complexity releases subtle aromas that mix prune and blackcurrant liqueur with sweet spices and leather. All enhanced by a note of truffle. The power of its youth has given way to the delicacy of a silky and elegant grain of mouth with tannins well assaged by age.

Your patience is finally rewarded, this wine has reached its peak. It can nevertheless be drunk in the next 2 to 3 years.

Pairings :
This wine at full maturity goes perfectly with a beef fillet with Perigord sauce or a sweetbread with morels.
