A unique tension and harmony
This plot takes its name from the soil that forms a group of small limestone chailles and sandy soils.
Among the 42 Premiers Crus of the capital of the wines of Burgundy, most of which remain too little known, this one is the archetype of the great Beaune that can compete with the terroirs of the Côte de Nuits.
A “Journal” (1/3 of hectare) represents the work surface that a horse can achieve in the vine per day.
The colour has a beautiful intensity and a marked brilliance. The aromas are sweet, “sunny” and elegant with red and black fruit, flowers and spices. The grain on the palate is tender, silky, refined, all with a beautiful persistence.
Tasting :
The 2016 vintage produced Burgundy wines with great aging potential and you can wait 3 or 4 years before opening it in magnum.
It will evolve into even spicier and empyreumatic notes like brown tobacco. After 12 to 15 years in the cellar, will be added beautiful tertiary aromas like notes of leather and undergrowth.
Pairings :
It will find its place at the table with a beautiful piece of red meat, a duck confit and it is powerful enough for game.
