Echézeaux Grand Cru 2018, Château de Marsannay

This beautiful plot, located in the village of Flagey-Echézeaux and located at the outlet of the combe d’Orveau, once belonged to the abbey of Citeaux. It produces an exquisite wine, solid and full-bodied, all in harmony. This 2018 vintage has a deep, dark red colour. It gives off sumptuously rich and seductive black fruit aromas, quickly joined by hints of liquorice and coffee. The tannins, well present, are delicate. The velvety texture extends in the mouth with a fresh, saline finish. This wine is the perfect expression of the magnificent terroir from which it comes.

Tasting :
This wine is so seductive that it is hard not to drink it young. But the amateur who will resist fifteen years, will be amply rewarded.

Pairings :
The vibrant character of this Echézeaux needs a grilled beef rib or a cream roasted pheasant to stand up to it.
