Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru 2018, Domaine De Montille
Nobility as a legacy!
Located in the village of Puligny, just above the Montrachet, this climate owes its name to the former lord of the village who was nicknamed the knight. It produces wines offering a clever balance between minerality, finesse and depth. This 2018 vintage developed by the De Montille estate comes from a plot of 0.23 ha on a predominantly limestone soil. Its sparkling dress is tinged with a beautiful pale yellow. The immensely complex nose releases aromas of orchard fruit, almond, nougat, honey, vanilla enhanced with a floral touch of white lily and linden. It is a very large concentrated wine, mineral and spicy, ample on the palate but with a sufficiently high level of acidity to give shape to its opulence.
A little firm in its youth, this elixir needs about ten years to round up and develop all its complexity.
This grand cru will require the refined company of a sweetbread or crustaceans such as a blue lobster.
