Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2014, Domaine Jean-Claude Ramonet

1.069,00

In the kingdom of the whites, this Lord is not illegitimate!

A major star of the Montrachet sphere, Domaine Ramonet was founded in the 1920s by Pierre Ramonet, a talented winemaker and grandfather of Jean-Claude and Noël. His wines conquered America even before the Second World War and were very quickly present on the tables of the greatest French gourmet restaurants. Coming from a plot of 0.75 ha, this Bastard-Montrachet with a sparkling golden color destabilizes us with its olfactory complexity. An intoxicating bouquet with scents of linden, hazelnut, candied lemon, almond paste and honey. Racy, round, fatty and tasty, this nectar develops in the mouth a great creaminess and a persistence of the most exceptional. A true blend of power and delicacy that, thanks to the talent of its creator, manages to avoid the heaviness and woodiness dominant of some other versions of the appellation.

Tasting :
Having lost the severity of its youth, this great wine is beginning to show us its magnificence but it is far from having reached its full potential. If your cellar allows it, it can rest for another ten years.

Pairings :
This masterpiece of power and elegance calls for dishes at its height such as an American lobster or a sweetbread with morels.
