Pommard Premier Cru Clos des Epenots 2017, Château de Meursault

This beautiful plot where the vines flourish on clay-limestone soils gives wines that compete with some Grands Crus of the Côte de Nuits. As proof, this 2017 vintage of Château de Meursault. Its luminous dress is a deep red. The nose opens with aromas of ripe cherry, blackcurrant liqueur mixed with scents of faded rose with subtle notes of pepper and cloves. The ample and structured palate is endowed with a beautiful aromatic persistence, wine of a beautiful depth with well-controlled tannins.

Tasting :
The flexibility of this vintage makes it possible to appreciate it now but as a worthy representative of Pommard, it will be able to rest in the cellar 5 to 6 years more to deploy all its complexity.

Pairings :
Relatively soft, this wine will pleasantly accompany a lamb navarino or a fillet of prickly pear can.
