Pommard Premier Cru Clos des Epenots 2019, Château de Meursault

The color of a deep red garnet, almost impenetrable announces us a wine of great keeping. The first nose develops accents of red and black fruits followed by notes of spices, licorice and black tea. The full mouth is dominated by the fruit. The tannins, both powerful and soft, offer a beautiful structure. The finish is long and sapid with a hint of rusticity.

Tasting :
This wine, one of the most tender of the Pommard appellation, is easily tasted on the freshness of the fruit but, after ten years in the cellar, it will reveal its remarkable fullness.

Pairings :
This emblematic wine of Burgundy will be an ideal companion for any dish of character. In its youth on a roasted pigeon with figs and with a little age on a beef cheek in a wine sauce but it will also know how to highlight the oriental flavours of a couscous or a tagine.
